Chandrayaan-3 Triumph: India’s Giant Leap in Space Exploration

Today, 23rd August 2023: Marks a historic moment in India’s journey through the cosmos. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Chandrayaan-3 team have achieved an extraordinary feat that has not only filled Indians with pride but has also placed India firmly among the world’s leading nations in technology and innovation. Thru this blog post, we celebrate the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3’s Lander on the Moon’s south pole, where the Indian national flag now stands tall. This monumental achievement was witnessed by billions of Indians across the globe, making it a movement that united the nation in celebration.

A Journey of Resilience:

India’s path to this triumphant moment has been one of resilience, determination, and unwavering belief in the power of science and technology. It was on, 7th September 2019, during the Chandrayaan-2 mission, that our scientists faced a heart-wrenching setback with a hard landing on moon, when just 2 kilometers above the lunar surface our scientist lost control of mission. However, our beloved Prime Minister Narendra Modi, provided reassurance that our scientists would not face financial constraints for Chandrayaan-3. He urged them to learn from the experience, become more confident, and rebuild the next Chandrayaan mission.

The Moment of Glory

Today, as the world watched live in awe, Dr. Somenath, Director of ISRO, conveyed the remarkable news to Prime Minister Modi, saying, “Sir, we have achieved a soft landing on the moon… yes, on the moon”. Amidst his presence in South Africa for the BRICS Summit, the Prime Minister wholeheartedly connected to the live broadcast of Chandrayaan-3’s triumphant landing. With immense pride, he raised the Indian flag onscreen, signifying our remarkable achievement. In a powerful address to both our nation and the world, he emphasized that India has taken a significant stride towards rightfully claiming its well-deserved position on the global stage. The entire nation erupted in joy and pride, from children to politicians, sports personalities, the film industry, the corporate world, government officials, and Taxpayer citizens like us.

Next 25 year in Building

I watched this historic moment with a college friend who had come back after long time from the United States, we both experienced this landmark achievement live on AajTak. With great pride, I turned to my friend and made a bold proclamation: “The next 25 years belong to India.” It wasn’t just a statement; it was a heartfelt conviction in the boundless potential of our nation. I extended an invitation to my friend, urging him to come back, be a part of this incredible journey alongside 1.4 billion Indians. It’s a journey of innovation, exploration, and progress that promises to shape the future in unprecedented ways. Together, we can be witnesses to and participants in the incredible transformation that lies ahead, not just for India but for the world.

Congratulations to ISRO Scientists and the Chandrayaan-3 Team!

In the spirit of this monumental achievement, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the brilliant minds at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the dedicated Chandrayaan-3 team. Your unwavering dedication, relentless pursuit of excellence, and pioneering spirit have propelled India to a remarkable position on the global stage of space exploration.
I also commend the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian government for their steadfast support and commitment to advancing the frontiers of science and technology. By allocating taxpayer funds to ambitious projects like Chandrayaan-3, our leaders have demonstrated their resolve to place India rightfully among the world’s leading nations in technology and innovation.
This achievement is not just a triumph in the realm of space science; it is a testament to the indomitable spirit of every Indian, from the scientists who dared to dream and explore, to the citizens who watched with bated breath. It is a moment that unites us all, transcending boundaries and backgrounds.

This remarkable achievement by ISRO and the Chandrayaan-3 team serves as a powerful reminder that failure is temporary, and glory awaits those who rebuild themselves with learning, determination, and unwavering focus. As I recall the song from the movie “Lagaan,” with its lyrics,

"Har sant kahe, Saadhoo kahee, Such aur sahas hai jinke maan me, Annt me jeet unhi ki rahe" (Every saint and sage proclaims that victory belongs to those who have truth and courage in their hearts),

Today, we all filled with pride and optimism for India’s future. Jai Hind! Jai Ho!
