Moonland Adventures: Exploring Lamayuru Through My Lens Year 2009

In 2009, my journey to Ladakh led me to Lamayuru, famously known as the Moonland on Earth, where its lunar-like terrain left me awestruck. Captured in my photographs, this surreal destination showcased breathtaking landscapes, from craters resembling the moon’s surface to stunning vistas at Fotula Pass, the highest point on the Srinagar-Leh highway. The trip was both challenging and rewarding, with unpaved roads, thin mountain air, and moments of resilience like pushing our aging Jeep to keep it moving. Each image narrates the raw beauty and adventure of Lamayuru, making it an unforgettable highlight of my soul-searching journey to Ladakh.
