I spent most of my childhood at the foothills of Mathar Dev, MPEB colony in Sarni, Madhya Pradesh. In Sarni, the rain falls like a steady stream, and on rainy days, it’s nearly impossible to step outside without getting soaked. In 2009, during a journey of self-exploration, I had the opportunity to trek Mathar Dev on a rainy day—an experience that remains one of my most cherished memories. During my trek, I met Santosh, and we engaged in conversations about spirituality and Sarni.
