Some of my most fun-filled and memorable days in the tech startup world were during my time at Vriti Infocom between 2008-2009. The energy in the office was always high, and we made sure to balance the intensity of our work with moments of pure enjoyment. One of the best ways we did this was by turning our lunch breaks into spontaneous cricket matches. The area in front of the office in Noida Sector 63 would transform into a makeshift cricket ground, where colleagues came together to play, laugh, and bond over the sport.
The sight of Vriti Infocom employees in their office attire, casually swapping laptops for cricket bats, was a regular occurrence. These matches were more than just a fun break; they were a perfect blend of camaraderie and team-building. The competitive spirit was high, but the focus was always on having a great time and blowing off steam. Every match was filled with strategic discussions, playful banter, and moments of excitement as we displayed our sporting prowess. It was a unique and refreshing way to reset our minds, re-energizing us for the challenges ahead.
Looking back, those cricket matches symbolized the perfect balance between work and play. They strengthened not just our bodies but also the bonds we shared as a team. The laughter, the friendly rivalry, and the thrill of competition all contributed to the vibrant culture at Vriti Infocom, where teamwork thrived both in the office and on the field. Those moments of play in the middle of our workday remain some of my fondest memories, a reminder of how collaboration and fun can seamlessly coexist in the fast-paced world of tech startups.
