A year ago, I embarked on a journey to build my personal tech platform, NextStruggle, and carve out a unique digital identity as #AskDushyant. At the start, I had little idea of what to write. I began with posts on current issues and snippets of notable tech information. However, as I dive deeper, I realized I possessed a treasure trove of life and career experiences—captured in photos and videos—dating back to my college days. This realization inspired me to pivot the focus of NextStruggle to three core themes:
- Adventures of My Life
- Technology, a defining pillar of my career
- ThoughtStream, sharing quick thoughts on social issues and personal perspectives.
Why I Decided to Write My Story
Outside the familiar circles of friends and colleagues, few people truly know who you are. Every time I met new people, I found myself repeatedly narrating my life story:
- My journey as a small-town guy who climbed the tech ladder.
- The career struggles of working with startups like Travelguru, Vriti Infocom, Nagarro, and Peoplestrong HR Tech (early tech member and shareholder).
- The experience of founding my own company, ArcTop Labs.
- My Adventure as biker, traveler and explorer
Even today, when I tell people that I’ve retired from working for others, enjoying life, and seeking new adventures, I’m often met with disbelief. Every time I engage as a tech advisor or discuss a co-founding or leadership role with like-minded individuals, I find myself reiterating my career—working with startups like Travelguru, Vriti Infocom, and Nagarro, building Peoplestrong HR Tech as an early tech member and shareholder, and founding my own tech company, ArcTop Labs. This led me to a realization: despite having platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, I needed something more personal and profound—a place to document my story that defines me.
That’s when I decided to build NextStruggle (an idea i conceived in 2017), my very own tech platform, leveraging my technical expertise to bring it to life.
Building NextStruggle: A Tech Guy’s Dream
Creating NextStruggle wasn’t just about writing—it was about building a robust tech platform. Here’s how I approached it:
- Content Strategy: Combining life memoirs and tech chronicles, I created content that resonated with audiences globally.
- ThoughtStream: created my own microblog section to share quick thoughts, a personal prospective on current social events and issues.
- Infrastructure: I deployed my platform on a cloud server with AWS.
- Optimization: From server-side caching to CDN integration, I fine-tuned every aspect for speed and scalability.
The Chronicles of Life and Technology
Life Experiences
From the struggles of my early career to the adventures of Solo bike riding as biker, long road trip, career achievement, building startups and personal milestones, I have documented it all. My life memoirs are not just stories—they’re reflections of how perseverance and self-belief helped me achieve a life I find fulfilling.
Tech Insights
On the tech side, I share:
- Concepts: Breaking down complex ideas for developers and entrepreneurs.
- Advice: Recommendations on building technology from scratch to scale.
- Solutions: Insights on handling massive loads, generating big data, analytics and using them for AI.
Achieving a Global Reach
In just one year, NextStruggle has grown to:
- 600+ chronicles of life experiences and technical knowledge.
- 10,000+ unique visitors monthly.
- 4,50,000+ requests served by my cloud server each month.
- 6 GB+ content served monthly
- Reached 50+ countries worldwide.
This success has not only amplified my voice but also established #AskDushyant as a brand identity on the web.
Retiring Before 40: A Dream Turned Reality
On the homepage of NextStruggle, I boldly declare:
“Retiring before the age of 40—an endeavor that many consider a far-off fantasy. Yet, through determination and unyielding persistence, I transformed this distant dream into a tangible reality. In this fast-paced life, it is crucial to pause, reflect, and relish in our achievements before embarking on new adventures. In the tapestry of my life, I share a collection of struggles that transcend the ordinary: “I bet you can’t top that.”
This statement reflects my belief that life isn’t just about achieving—it’s about savoring those achievements and preparing for the next adventure.
Why You Should Build Your Own Identity
If there’s one lesson my journey has taught me, it’s this: Your story matters. Whether you’re an adventurer, a tech enthusiast, an entrepreneur like me or person who had lots to share– documenting your experiences builds credibility and helps others connect with you.
- For tech professionals: Your expertise deserves a platform beyond LinkedIn profiles.
- For adventurers: Share your journeys to inspire others.
- For dreamers: Use your story to motivate others to pursue their passions.
The Purpose of NextStruggle
Through NextStruggle, I’ve isolated myself from the noise, leveraging my knowledge and experiences to create something uniquely mine. It’s a platform for:
- Chronicling life’s adventures.
- Sharing technical expertise.
- Reaching a global audience.
- Inspiring others to build their own paths.
A word of advice:
- Create Your Identity: Don’t rely solely on third-party platforms; own your narrative.
- Document Your Journey: Your experiences, whether personal or professional, hold value.
- Inspire Others: Share your successes and failures to guide those on similar paths.
- Stay Adventurous: Life is about continuity, constantly pushing boundaries and seeking new experiences.
Final Thoughts: Building NextStruggle and establishing #AskDushyant has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. From a small-town guy to building global identity, my journey is proof that with determination, a clear vision, and a bit of tech-savvy, you can create something extraordinary.
So, what’s your NextStruggle? Whether it’s building a blog, sharing your knowledge, or starting a new adventure, the time to start is now.
