This remarkable center comprises a magnificent Convention Centre, multiple Exhibition halls, and a plethora of world-class facilities. Amidst the auspicious celebration of Vishwakarma Jayanti, Prime Minister Modi launched the ‘PM Vishwakarma Scheme,’ designed specifically to empower traditional artisans and craftspeople. The event witnessed the unveiling of the PM Vishwakarma logo, tagline, and portal, alongside the release of a customized stamp sheet, a tool kit e-booklet, and a stirring video. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi honour distinguished beneficiaries with Vishwakarma Certificates.

Additionally, a toolkit voucher worth Rs 15,000 will be provided to aid in acquiring modern equipment. The government will also play a pivotal role in branding, packaging, and marketing of their products, helping them access a wider market.

One of the standout features of the scheme is the provision of collateral-free finance. Vishwakarmas will be able to secure loans of up to Rs 3 lakh without the need for collateral. Moreover, these loans will carry low-interest rates, ensuring that artisans and craftspeople have access to financial resources to grow their businesses and livelihoods.

Global Demand for Handmade Products

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the surging global demand for handmade products, signaling an opportunity for Indian artisans and craftsmen to showcase their skills and craftsmanship on the world stage.
